Holiday Gift Donation Team

Sacramento Children’s Home’s Giving Program provides gifts for approximately 1,500 children annually. This is a busy time and they could provide for the most at risk children in our community without the help of our valued volunteers! This opportunity is great for individuals and small groups. People from across the community come to the Sacramento Children's Home to donate gifts for children. Volunteers for this opportunity greet donors as they arrive and help them to unload donations. Donations are kept in the reception area until donors leave. The donations are then transferred to a truck to be taken to the sorting site.. Volunteers need to be able to lift at least 10 pounds and are able to go up and down a few stairs. Due to the flow of donations, there will likely be a little down time during portions of your shift as we wait for donors to arrive. Volunteers may bring something to keep themselves occupied while waiting.
