Blossom Place: Baby/Toddler Childcare

This opportunity is starting in 2021 once COVID restrictions permit -- Volunteers needed to care for babies/toddlers so young at-risk mothers may attend Wednesday night meetings. The volunteers will be responsible for playing with the children, giving snacks or bottles as appropriate and possibly putting children down to bed.
This Opportunity is EVERY WEDNESDAY, but Prior to Volunteering volunteers will undergo a background check, and will be interviewed by Blossom Place staff. Older adults with children who are teenagers are welcome to come and help. volunteers must be 18 or older. The volunteers should dress conservatively to be appropriate models for the Blossom participants.
The Blossom Place program has approximately 6 children ranging from 2 months old to 3 years old. The Blossom Place provides safe housing, one-on-one support and resources so former foster and at-risk young women ages 18-24 can learn the life skills, achieve the goals and gain the confidence to blossom into who they were meant to be.
