Fire Prevention Cleanup - Camino

Volunteers needed to assist a nonprofit organization with fire prevention: gathering limbs and branches on the roadway and property to be put through a chipper. Did you know limbs will create flame lengths that carry fire into brush and trees? Become a ground level volunteer to enable Our Healing Forest to move forward on their goal of providing a retreat with a music stage and treehouses for children in foster care.
The sole purpose of Our Healing Forest is to create a positive impact and uplift our rising generation, especially struggling kids of our community who are victims of abuse, neglect, or trauma by offering them confidence building activities and necessary life-skills in the healing environment of the forest.
Required dress code: long pants, sturdy close-toed shoes, work gloves; a good idea to have a long sleeved shirt and a hat, too! Sunscreen and bug spray may also be needed. Please bring your own refillable water bottle, plus snack or sack lunch; water available on site. Masks should be worn while gathered as a group, but a majority of the work is able to be done safely socially distanced.
Morning shift: 8am-12:00pm; Afternoon shift: 1:00-5:00pm; (waiver to be signed on location)
