Workday at FRCC - South Sacramento
Volunteers needed for various projects inside -- which might include removing flooring, removing stickers, taping up, priming, painting, and removing tape in some classrooms and all the bathrooms and ceilings. There may also be a two-day etching and painting (or epoxying) of the restroom floors. If you have step stools and ladders, please bring them to use at the volunteer day. *72 hour registration cut-off* to enable sufficient time to gather all supplies.
Please wear appropriate layered clothing for the tasks listed, wear closed toed shoes, and bring a water bottle! If you sign up for both sessions in a day, bring your lunch to have during break. *Please bring your own mask and wear it the entire time you are on the FRCC campus. Social distancing will up up to you to manage while volunteering, but there is plenty of space so people will be spaced out by tasks.
Established at the former Fruit Ridge Elementary School, FRCC houses 23 nonprofit organizations and serves as a meeting place for dozens more. Organizations that serve diverse populations and offer a wide-range of critical support programs that address health and economic disparities.
