3Strands Global is a non-profit organization established to combat human trafficking through prevention education, reintegration, and engagement initiatives. We are empowering a global community to combat human trafficking through our growing network of government and law enforcement agencies, individuals, organizations, corporations and non-profits all working together. The PROTECT program provides human trafficking prevention education training and curriculum to students and educators to help prevent exploitation and victimization. In our reintegration program, Employ + Empower, we walk alongside survivors and those at-risk to help them get and keep a job to prevent future exploitation. Furthermore, we connect them to behavioral health services and other resources they need to succeed in their job, empowering them to create a better future. Finally, we mobilize communities to join the fight against human trafficking through our events, such as the Break Free Runs. We also participate in grassroots advocacy, best shown through our sponsored bill, AB 1227, The Human Trafficking Prevention Education and Training Act. This law has made California a national and global leader in the fight against human trafficking, and it’s just the beginning. The funds raised from the Break Free Run will go straight to providing local survivors of trafficking and high-risk youth the ability to have a secure life free of exploitation. Funds will also teach students and teachers the signs and tactics of traffickers to protect children from being exploited in the first place.
